Good location, good value for money
There were no lights with something that was trying to be a bathroom. In general this is not hotel but hostel if you go there with such an expectation you wont be disappointed. No soap, no shampoo, no towel...

The communal area at this 4-star hotel was surprisingly cosy and lovely, making me feel like I was in an expensive hotel rather than a hostel. The extremely clean 4-bed room with ensuite shower&toilet and the nearby wharf were impressive. Despite my heavy bags, the 20-minute walk from the coach station was manageable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Staff very friendly and helpful, Hostel modern very clean and warm with good atmosphere. Small bar area, large restaurant space, cooked breakfast good. Self cook kitchen very good, tv lounge. Card entry for all room and doors Excellent walks, museums, bars and cafes close, also short walk to Tesco and Sainsbury. Room excellent, clean and spacious, 2 bed I bunk, good view of location, on the canal/wharf Car parking good. Close to free bus into centre Member of staff responded quickly to our complaint of late night noise in hostel from other guests 2.15am- Dutch students. Hostel sold useful items E.g padlock for locker at reasonable price.
Kitchen good but only one oven, but perhaps people dont cook much? Think notice about consideration for other hostel users after 11pm needs to be in other languages. Cold water taps in kitechen not labelled as drinking water, but used for tea + coffee so water biled.. Plugs on appliances would be useful to be labelled as 2 sockets for 3 plugs. Cooker in kitchen, not clear on how to use the grill, had to show Chinese and Singaporean guests how to use it

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in a nice area of the city. The location was perfect, right next to the canals and within walking distance of all the major attractions and shopping areas. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the basic amenities provided were great. The room was comfortable, with a beautiful view of the canals, and it even had an extra pull out bed. To top it off, breakfast was included, which was a nice added bonus.
All was fine, no improvements needed.

Cheap, convenient place to crash after a gig.
Chap snoring in room. Always a risk with a shared dorm!

Cheap and comfortable
Putting people who check-in at different time in one room. The other two girls in my room checked-in at 11 something when I was already sleeping.

I recently stayed at Yha Manchester for a night and it was perfect for my needs. The staff were lovely and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The common area downstairs was spacious and there was a good selection of breakfast options. The location was extraordinary, with a historic canal basin and Roman fort nearby. The ensuite bathroom had a fantastic hot shower and the beds were surprisingly long. The security was excellent and didn't feel imposing, with plastic key cards for access. The staff were professional, friendly, and helpful. The homemade dinner was nutritious and delicious, and the breakfast was great, with a tasty vegetarian sausage.
100% Recommend this hotel.
